We offer free assessments (appointments required) to assist with self-referrals. No physician order is required, although we accept recommendations from physicians, mental health providers, clergy, company employee assistance programs and family and friends. Our board-certified practitioners are available to provide medication assisted treatment to help reduce cravings and relapse. We utilize evidenced-based approaches to help build healthy coping skills to reduce harm and prevent relapse. Our IOP also provides a specialized track for those that are struggling with addiction and substance abuse. This enables patients to begin implementing the recovery skills they learn and gives them the chance to process their experiences in a safe and supportive group environment. The IOP allows patients the opportunity to live at home, continue to work and be involved in family and community activities, while receiving in-depth treatment. Lastly, patients who participate in our Indiana IOP drug and alcohol treatment program are encouraged to participate in a 12-step fellowship, such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA), while they are in treatment to further support a lasting recovery. On the other hand, the counseling provided during IOP therapy sessions helps reinforce the coping skills and behaviors learned during rehab to reduce the risks of relapse. For example, case managers may help IOP clients with job applications or pending legal issues. In order to better help people adapt to daily life in sobriety, IOP places a heavy focus on group and community support, life-skills, and relapse prevention. Being flexible, yet intensive, IOP programs enable patients to go about their daily lives and responsibilities while still receiving the substance abuse counseling that they need.
IOP programs are also suitable for people who don’t have the luxury of taking time away from their families, their job, or other obligations in order to attend an inpatient or PHP program. BUILD A FOUNDATION FOR LONG-TERM RECOVERY Patients may participate in both group and individual therapy based on their specific needs. This means patients will attend therapy sessions several days a week for a few hours at a time. While participating in our IOP program in Jeffersonville, Indiana, patients will receive approximately 15 hours of clinical care and group therapy each week. Leaving rehab isn’t always easy, but IOP can help ease this transition and provide ongoing support for any challenges that occur in early recovery. After patients complete our PHP level of care, we recommend that they step down into our intensive outpatient program (IOP). One way to achieve a strong foundation in early recovery is by taking advantage of these aftercare programs – one of the most common being intensive outpatient programming.
